Keeping a blog going

Dec 19, 01:01 AM

It’s one thing to start a blog but as I’ve learned it’s another thing entirely to keep it going. I’ve read it’s important to keep the articles coming but I’m concentrating on “Quality rather than Quantity” (to coin a phrase). I want to produce articles that have some meaning to them and I want to enjoy writing those articles.

Being able to help people is important to me so I want my blog articles to be both useful and interesting for the reader.

Some blogs I’ve read seem very “in your face” if that’s the right term. It’s like the writers of those blog articles feel the need to show how superior they are in their intelligence but often they seem to come across as repeating things without having first checked them out properly.

One case in point is talk of this Microsoft Courier. Microsoft Courier is this new tablet computer people are talking about. But it’s not even in production yet. All I’ve seen of it is an animated mockup. Yet there is no shortage of blogs and other web sites praising the thing. To me this is pure marketing as the Microsoft Courier doesn’t seem to exist outside of some pre production stage. Plus I read articles comparing it to the Apple Tablet, itself a product that doesn’t exist yet (assuming it will).

So there. I’ll try not be to be superficial in what I write. I hope this article has been interesting for you.
